This morning I had to do my last checks in prep for the Queen West Art Crawl. It always paid to double check things rather than assume things were set up properly as I had left them from my last art show.

This morning, I discovered my Square reader didn’t seem to turn on. I eventually realized that it was simply out of charge (it usually doesn’t lose charge quickly) and had to wait some hours before I could re-pair it with my phone. Now I also see there are updates and other things to do for the reader, so definitely good that I checked.

On looking again at my inventory, I noticed I was low on my newsletter sign up mailing list cards. Seems like that was yet another last minute thing to add in.

I’m trying to reduce the weight of having to haul too much stuff in so am being deliberate of what I am bringing in.

I still need to check my art descriptions and whether I’ve put all of them into my name tag descriptions. Answer: nope they didn’t match what I was going to bring so had to recheck and print some new ones.

That said, I’m also battling an ill-timed cold, so I might at least take a nap first before getting into doing that last inventory check.
