I’ll be returning to the Queen West Art Crawl, on Saturday September 20 to Sunday September 21 2025. I exhibited there at back in my first year in 2023. I haven’t received yet the package of where my booth will be but will be very happy to announce it when it comes out.
It means the next few months will be quite busy preparing again, but it won’t be as difficult as my first time. I won’t be making as many mistakes (read: not knowing how to hang my frames), and I’ll be ok with not bringing every single piece of art with me.
My ideal way would be to be able to fit everything into my four door sedan, though there are some very helpful large tables that are at my parent’s house that would be great to use.
Having this art exhibit at the end of the year gives me a lot of time to be able to be prepared. The extra thing with this one is that I can sell limited edition prints, which were very popular last time. I am still somewhat debating whether to print cards, as I wondered whether people would end up purchasing those rather than my small 6×9 prints, and the margins on cards is much lower. That said, it was nice sometimes for people to support my work with something small.
It’ll be nice to return since I moved out of Toronto. I’m planning on showing some different originals this time and am curious to see how people will react.
It’s life-affirming in ways to see when people admire your art and tell you what they like about it.
A few days ago, I finally got around to starting preparations – deciding what art prints I wanted to make, looking at my inventory to see what sold last time. I had scanned some of my newer works at the library but realized there are huge streak marks across the scans – alas, I had not first noticed that when I was there.
