Getting back into it

I put some of my larger paintings into frames, getting ready for the Oakville Art in the Park festival. It’s a nice payoff to put items with mats already cut into frames, since you get to see how the work finally looks with relatively little effort.

Still have to cut a few smaller mats for my more affordable options. I’m a bit worried about selling items that are only originals, (which reminds me, I have to update my Square catalogue). I perhaps should also think of doing the QR code scanning, but I doubt that I’ll be selling as frequently as I had for my other Toronto Art Crawl event, so perhaps the check out system may not be as difficult.

I’m definitely more relaxed about how everything will go since I’ve done it once before. I think it should be more fun to talk about my art and show it to patrons instead of worrying about how exactly to set up a tent.

The only issue is that if I’m overconfident, I’ll forget to do something basic, like bring weights. I had a few checklists I’ll have to dig out to ensure everything is there.
