Thanks for your interest in commissions! I am now accepting original watercolour commissions on high quality heavy weight cold pressed 300 gsm (140 lbs) paper.
- What will you need to provide me?
- Size: Whether you would like a painting in 9×12 inches or 11 x 15 inches
- Subject: If it say of a particular subject matter, I will need a clear reference photo. Ideally, the more the better. Here are certain elements that are helpful:
- expression
- special details you would like captured
- mood
- particular colours you would like
- What is the cost?
- This will depend on the complexity of the subject and the size. Given the customization, pricing will typically be higher than my usual paintings prices.
- As a ballpark, you can expect somewhere between $300-600 depending on the complexity and size of the painting.
- What is the process?
- First, I will provide you a contract to sign. This helps us both ensure we have similar expectations.
- After I receive your 50% deposit, I will begin working on preliminary sketches. I will then provide the sketch to you for approval. There would be one round of modifications if you need any.
- I’ll provide you a picture of the final painting, and then request you to pay the remaining 50% prior to shipping.
- Where do you ship?
- In Canada, shipping will be included.
- Internationally, I will obtain an estimate for shipping costs and inform you.
- How long does it take?
- Due to current wait times, this may vary, but I generally request at least 6 months to be able to complete to give me flexibility on my time schedule.
