I have also been reading the book called Artpreneur by Miriam Shulman and it’s quite good. It argues that social media marketing is subject to the whims of the social media platform you are using, and a better way is to use an email newsletter. I am thinking about what kind of content I should put in but I do like the idea of having a very personal relationship with my readers.
I have also mastered the skill of making customized art mats which were required for my 9 x 12 paintings. One of the issues I overcame was that I learned I had to slide the bevel mat cutter away from me, rather than sideways. There are many upfront costs to the fair upcoming and so it is a very busy time – in addition to also of course making more paintings to sell.
