I received word that I’ll be at the Oakville Art in the Park on August 5, 2024, the Civic Holiday! I visited last year to see what it was like and it was much larger than I expected.

Part of me wanted to try out something different than I’ve done before, though the Toronto Outdoor Art Crawl was quite successful. The application process was very straightforward, a far cry from a number of Toronto fairs which require more hoops, like booth pictures.

I did apply for another art fair last minute that will be in Toronto so will see if I get in.

My focus lately has been on my original art, so will see what I can do. I imagine though that I might want to make more smaller pieces so something is affordable, so perhaps I’ll switch gears soon again. For a while, it has been large 11 x 15 pieces.

It strikes me as odd to have an event where someone would have to pay to get in, but we’ll see if that somehow deters clients.
